SUPERFLEX reimagines ARKEN museum as sunken ark in new exhibition

The Danish artist group SUPERFLEX presents 'Come Hell or High Water' at ARKEN Museum of Modern Art in Ishøj, Denmark, from May 7, 2026 to January 3, 2027. The exhibition imagines the museum submerged beneath the sea centuries from now, reimagining its central space The Axis as a contemporary ark. It features works from over 30 years of SUPERFLEX's practice, including a new site-specific project that will be deployed in oceans worldwide in the coming years. The group has famously suggested that the best idea might come from a fish, and this exhibition explores which species and life forms might accompany humanity's legacy into the future.
