SUPERFLEX and Mudam Visitors Co-Create 'The Bank' in Luxembourg
Starting in summer 2026, Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean will present 'The Bank', an interactive installation by the artist collective SUPERFLEX from Copenhagen. This initiative invites local community members to collaborate on a lasting installation for Park Dräi Eechelen, transforming the concept of a bank into a repository for ideas instead of money. Participants will utilize plaster molds to craft brick-like components for a 'city of banks'. Curator António Mendes, along with co-curator Christophe Gallois and assistant Clara Froumenty, highlight the project's aim to challenge traditional perceptions of value. The endeavor features modular installations, public workshops, and concludes with a permanent artwork by SUPERFLEX, backed by the PwC Foundation Luxembourg and Fondation de Luxembourg.
