Supercondominio 2 and Cosmonautica exhibitions at two Piedmont castles

Two Piedmont castles host site-specific art events this summer. On July 7, 2019, the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art presents the second edition of Supercondominio, an annual assembly of 40 new Italian art spaces, curated by Laura Lecce and Caterina Molteni with coordination by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev. The event features a marathon of presentations in the castle's theater, open to the public, and camping tents in the Manica Lunga garden. Meanwhile, the Castello di Costigliole d'Asti opens the multimedia exhibition "Cosmonautica" by Alessandro Sciaraffa (born 1976 in Turin), curated by Sara d'Alessandro Manozzo, running from July 7 to September 29, 2019. The exhibition includes sculptures and installations, some created specifically for the show, inviting visitor participation. On July 20, 2019, the castle hosts Exocena, a space-themed dinner featuring astronaut food designed by two young chefs. The Castello di Costigliole project, promoted by the municipality in partnership with Teatro degli Acerbi and Associazione CRAFT and supported by Compagnia di San Paolo, aims to creatively use the space and develop a communication strategy for tourism and culture. The exhibition is promoted by Fondazione Torino Musei, which recently signed an agreement with Air France-KLM for joint cultural projects.
