Super Walls 2021: Street Art Biennale in Padova Explores Post-Pandemic Rebirth

From June 5 to 20, 2021, Padova and eight surrounding towns will host the second edition of Super Walls, transforming the area into an open-air art exhibition. Curated by Carlo Silvestrin and Dominique Stella, this biennale will showcase 40 street artists who will create pieces on 35 surfaces provided by various institutions. The theme of 'rebirth' symbolizes the recovery following the pandemic. Additionally, a spin-off called WonderWalls will feature 12 female artists. Among the notable contributors are Alessio-B, Any, Axe, Boogie.EAD, and Joys, hailing from Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, France, and Germany. Mayor Sergio Giordani highlighted the significance of art in fostering cultural recovery post-pandemic. The inaugural edition in 2019 utilized Arlite paints to reduce air pollutants.
