Sung Tieu Funds Board Seat, CIMAM Elects President, Hyundai Prize Winners Named, Kochi Biennale Expands

Sung Tieu, a Vietnamese German artist, has sold her artwork Declaration of Donation (2025) for EUR 25,000 to support Mi You's five-year board position at Berlin's KW Institute of Contemporary Art. This piece is featured in Tieu's exhibition "1992, 2025," which critiques the annual board fee of EUR 5,000. Mi You will join the Berlin Biennale board alongside Julia Stoschek, Karen Boros, Klaus Biesenbach, and Olafur Eliasson. On November 30, Amanda de la Garza Mata was named president of CIMAM for a three-year term. CIMAM also announced the 2025 Outstanding Museum Practice Awards for Museo Barda del Desierto, Bergen Kjøtt Foundation, and the Palestinian Museum. The sixth Kochi-Muziris Biennale is set to commence on December 12 and will continue until March 31, 2026. Joni Zhu has been appointed as director of Cheruby. The Trellis Art Fund revealed the 2025 Stepping Stone Grant recipients, Kamrooz Aram, Kang Seung Lee, and Aki Sasamoto, each awarded USD 40,000.
