Summer Solstice Exhibitions: Dario Costi and Paolo Mezzadri at Volumnia, Marzia Migliora at Arte Sella

Two exhibitions open on June 21, 2025, the summer solstice, in Italy. At Volumnia in Piacenza, architect Dario Costi and artist Paolo Mezzadri present 'La materia della luce. Piccoli oggetti per abitare il mondo', curated by Antonello Marotta and set up by Simona Melli with Studio MC2AA. In Trentino, at Arte Sella, Marzia Migliora's solo exhibition 'Lotta per l'esistenza' opens between Villa Strobele and Malga Costa. Curated by Lorenzo Fusi, the show draws on Darwin's concept of competitive adaptability but emphasizes mutualism and interdependence. Works include paper dioramas, an immersive installation with mutant creatures and giant fungi, and a sound installation by Marco Ciorba. A series of works on paper intervenes on historical illustrations from 'La Domenica del Corriere', removing human and animal figures.
