Summer Program at Anita Schwartz Galeria Features Over 20 Artists in Rio de Janeiro
Anita Schwartz Galeria de Arte in Rio de Janeiro is hosting an extensive free summer program titled Projeto Verão #1, running from January to March. The program includes art, music, poetry, sound installations, acrobatic and theatrical performances, cinema, life drawing classes, and a thematic bar. Over 20 artists are participating, including gallery-represented artists Alexandre Vogler and Cadu, alongside Botika, Paulo Tiefenthaler, Amora Pera, Guga Ferraz, and other visual artists, dancers, musicians, poets, and filmmakers. Writer Nilton Bonder will lead an open conversation following the screening of Silvio Tendler's documentary 'A Alma Imoral.' The Bar Pinkontolgy, curated by Gabriela Davies of Vila Aymoré, will operate on the terrace nightly, serving drinks created specifically for the project. Weekly performances will occupy the seven-meter-high 'cubão branco' on the ground floor every Wednesday. On the second floor of the building in the Baixo Gávea neighborhood, two exhibitions are on view: 'Bebendo Água no Saara' with works by Laís Amaral and 'Milanesa' by Felipe Barsuglia. Event dates and times are available on the gallery's website.
