Summer Festivals in Marche, Sicily, and Calabria: Street Art, Photography, and Performance
Italy's summer festival lineup includes three notable events. The third edition of the Altrove Street Art Festival takes place in Catanzaro, Calabria, from June 9 to 18, curated by Edoardo Suraci and Vincenzo Costantino, themed "Abstractism, Humanize Landscape," featuring artists such as 2501 and Alberonero. Following this, the second MicroArtFest is set for July 8-9 in Agugliano, Marche, organized by Roberta Conti and Walter Vecchietti, which will showcase performances and a significant installation by Michele Giangrande. Lastly, the first-ever PhotoRoad – International Open Air Photography Festival will be held in Gibellina, Sicily, from July 29 to August 31, presenting 30 exhibitions, including "1968-2016 – Gibellina nello sguardo dei grandi fotografi," honoring the 1968 earthquake.
