Summer Exhibition #0: Art Itinerary Through Naples' Spanish Quarters

In the Spanish Quarters of Naples, a summer exhibition titled Summer Exhibition #0 transforms the neighborhood into an unconventional art itinerary. The show, organized by Raffaele Orlando, integrates artworks into everyday commercial spaces such as bars, pizzerias, kebab shops, and barbershops, as well as private apartments. The route is variable, depending on business hours and resident availability. Featured artists include Rocco Dubbini with ballistic steel helmets (Gloria), Paola Risoli with micro interiors (Agile, handle with care), Giacomo Montanaro with acid photographic landscapes, Saghar Daeiri with Utopian Selfie (2019) at the Baretto, Stefania Ricci with butterflies invading a barbershop, and Domenico Borrelli with Nerea, a black resin mass displayed in a ceramics shop window. The exhibition aims to mediate between art and street life, exploring hidden realities and multiple voices. It is a collective, playful yet cultured interaction of genres that highlights normally overlooked spaces and meanings. The event runs throughout August, with no fixed start or end date, and encourages spontaneous encounters between art and daily life.
