Summer 2018 exhibitions across Asia and Europe explore geography, identity, and institutional missions
The M+ Pavilion in Hong Kong is showcasing 'In Search of Southeast Asia through the M+ Collections' until 30 September, under the curation of Pauline J. Yao and Shirley Surya. This exhibition includes works from artists such as Simryn Gill, Charles Lim, Maria Taniguchi, and The Propeller Group, alongside architects Geoffrey Bawa, Ken Yeang, and Vo Trong Nghia. At National Gallery Singapore, '(Re)Collect: The Making of Our Art Collection' is available until 19 August, led by Eugene Tan and featuring Rirkrit Tiravanija. Tai Kwun Contemporary's 'Dismantling the Scaffold' runs until 15 August, curated by Christina Li, highlighting Spring Workshop alumni. The Second Yinchuan Biennale at MOCA Yinchuan continues until 19 September, directed by Marco Scotini with 90 participating artists. Liverpool Biennial's tenth edition is from 14 July to 28 October, curated by Kitty Scott and Sally Tallant.
