Summer 2016 exhibition highlights across global venues from New York to Athens

This summer, a variety of exhibitions are set to take place in 2016. The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York features "Mirror Cells," showcasing artists Rochelle Goldberg, Elizabeth Jaeger, Win McCarthy, Maggie Lee, and Liz Craft until August 21. Kunsthalle Basel will display Yngve Holen's "VERTICALSEAT" until August 14. In Los Angeles, The Broad presents Cindy Sherman's "Imitation of Life" from June 11 through October 2. John Baldessari's work will be on view at Mai 36 Galerie in Zurich from June 11 to August 8. "Under the Same Sun" at South London Gallery continues until September 4, while Kemang Wa Lehulere's exhibition at Stevenson in Johannesburg runs until July 15. The Deste Foundation's "The Equilibrists" is at the Benaki Museum from June 17 to October 9. Katharina Grosse's retrospective is on display at Museum Frieder Burda from June 11 to October 9, and Uwe Henneken's work can be seen at Rodolphe Janssen until July 16. Lastly, Carl Andre's retrospective is at Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin until September 18.
