Suitt Drims: design-driven vacation rentals in Catania and Palermo

Andrea Graziano, founder of the FUD restaurant group, launches Suitt Drims, a collection of six design-centric vacation rentals in the historic centers of Catania and Palermo. Each apartment is conceived as an "aesthetic manifesto," featuring floors and coverings by Hybrid & Icon that incorporate local materials like volcanic sands, Billiemi stone, raw earth, and fused metals. Furniture is by Lago, lighting by Flos, Artemide, and Davide Groppi. Local craftsmanship appears in lava stone and ceramic pieces by Magda Masano and recycled glass plates by Alessandro Di Rosa of Thalass. Contemporary art includes sculptures by Girolamo Ciulla, pop-surrealist paintings by Max Ferrigno, material paintings by Maila Magrì, and installations by Sa Grasse; all works are available for purchase. The project extends Graziano's FUD hospitality model, which began in Catania in 2012 and now includes venues in Palermo and Milan. Suitt Drims borrows the playful "Fuddese" language mixing English and Sicilian. Services include personalized room service from FUD Bottega Sicula and curated excursions promoting slow tourism.
