Sublimi Anatomie: Body, Art, and Science at Palazzo delle Esposizioni

exhibition · 2026-05-04

Running until January 6, 2020, the 'Sublimi Anatomie' exhibition at Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome delves into the historical intersection of aesthetic and scientific aspects of the human body across six distinct rooms. Curated by Andrea Carlino, Philippe Comar, Anna Luppi, Vincenzo Napolano, and Laura Perrone, the showcase features works from notable artists such as Berlinde De Bruyckere, Yvonne Rainer, and Marc Quinn. Collaborating with INFN (National Institute of Nuclear Physics) and the Polo Museale of Sapienza University of Rome, the exhibition includes three 18th-century anatomical waxes from the La Specola collection of the Museum of Natural History in Florence. A public program will host various events, including performances and lectures, with Brendan Fernandes making his Italian debut on January 4.
