Subalterno1's self-produced design at Milan Design Week
Subalterno1, a gallery located in Milan’s Lambrate area, was established in 2011 by architect Andrea Gianni. The gallery is dedicated to promoting self-produced designs and fostering a network of creators and craftsmen. In April 2017, during the Salone del Mobile, it showcased an exhibition titled 'Anthropocene, racconto per oggetti.' The exhibit featured artists including Massimiliano Adami and Carlo Contin and examined the interplay between the natural world and human-made objects within a tropical setting. The scientific aspect of the show was overseen by Stefano Maffei from Politecnico di Milano, while Tecnificio curated the artistic direction.
