Stupid Engineering's Aluminum Wall Calendar for Holiday Brain

Ben Ferrick, operating under Stupid Engineering, has designed the Day Display, a wall-mounted calendar made from 2 mm aluminum that reveals the current day. This device includes seven interchangeable day cards and a compact mounting system, all without the need for a screen or app. With dimensions of 165 by 85 by 75 mm, its design is somewhat blunt and leans towards a brutalist aesthetic. The process of changing the day is a hands-on experience, standing in contrast to the ease of digital alerts. Ferrick, who pursued industrial design in Wellington, has six years of experience in CNC machining. The idea for the Day Display originated during a work break when he lost track of the weekday, leading to this straightforward and humorously obvious creation.
