StudioVisit Platform Lets Public Book Artist Studio Tours

digital · 2026-04-27

StudioVisit, a new online platform launched on May 29, 2020, by former London gallerist Tyler Woolcott, allows the general public and art professionals to book visits to contemporary artists' studios. Visits can be individual or group, real or virtual, and include seminars, performances, lunches, canoe trips, or beach outings depending on the package. Group tours accommodate 10 to 50 visitors at £15-35 per ticket, while private tours for collectors and patrons cost £120-250. Revenue supports artists and art education programs. Participating artists include the London duo Cooking Sections (featured at Manifesta 12 in Palermo in 2018) and Tai Shani, who shared the Turner Prize 2019 with Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Helen Cammock, and Oscar Murillo. Due to lockdown, visits have been virtual so far, but Woolcott plans to resume in-person tours after the pandemic.
