In the Flaminio area of Rome, the local architectural firm STUDIOTAMAT has finalized the interior redesign of Casa Continua, a 115-square-meter residence. This renovation transforms the kitchen into a vibrant social hub, surrounded by bespoke burgundy glazed partitions that form a semi-transparent pavilion. The original parquet floors have been restored, while a slender burgundy line outlines the walls to visually connect various spaces. Custom oak cabinetry merges structural columns with bookshelves and seating. The apartment showcases notable items such as Mario Bellini's Camaleonda sofa and Giovanni Carini's Libellula chairs. A cozy reading room features rich burgundy tones and built-in shelves, and the bedroom boasts custom oak wardrobes alongside Harlequin's Elsworthy Wide Width wallpaper. STUDIOTAMAT is known for modernizing historical buildings, as demonstrated in their earlier works like a modernist villa in Castelli Romani and a Liberty-style villino in Trastevere.
