STUDIOTAMAT Opens OFFTAMAT Space in Rome

exhibition · 2026-04-26

On February 5, 2025, STUDIOTAMAT, an architecture and design studio founded by Matteo Soddu, Tommaso Amato, and Valentina Paiola, will inaugurate OFFTAMAT, a new 3-cubic-meter space in Rome between Mercato Trionfale and the former Mercato dei Fiori. The venue features a mirrored ceiling and uniform flooring, designed to explore the creative cycle of products through immersive installations and events. The inaugural exhibition will feature designer Daniela Pinotti, who created an exclusive jacquard textile called High Tide, produced by l'Opificio, a Turin-based sustainable fabric company. The textile comes in strawberry red and fir green variants, using a lampasso weaving technique that combines multicolored threads on a neutral background. Pinotti describes the design as capturing fluidity and movement, like a nomadic visual narrative. The space will be accessible by appointment throughout 2025, hosting limited-edition pieces and future collections. STUDIOTAMAT, celebrating its 10th anniversary, aims to reinterpret contemporary living by blending functionality with tailored craftsmanship.
