Studio Valari on Transforming Masseria Belvedere into a Luxury Hotel in Puglia

architecture-design · 2026-04-27

In an interview featured on Artribune, architects Federica Russo and Nicolò Lewanski from Studio Valari elaborate on their approach to hospitality design in Puglia. They are transforming the 17th-century Masseria Belvedere in Carovigno into an upscale retreat. The 500-square-meter facility will boast eight double rooms, eight bathrooms, a yoga studio, a kitchen, a dining area, a living room, a game room with a cocktail bar, and outdoor features such as an infinity pool and a terrace with a jacuzzi. A significant design challenge involved repositioning the living space to face the sea, which was accomplished by converting the old stables. Studio Valari, established by Russo, Lewanski, and Domenico Sasso, also intends to venture into custom furniture design.
