Studio Pelican Foot Transforms Barcelona Eixample Apartment into Eclectic Family Home

In Barcelona's Eixample district, Studio Pelican Foot has transformed a 165-square-meter apartment into a unique family residence that fuses modern design with vintage elements and art. Under the direction of architect Anna Strikou, the renovation honors the architectural heritage of Eixample. The previous bedroom layout has been restructured to create an open living space that includes a dining area and kitchen, while private rooms are relocated to the back, leading to a serene patio. Two restored balconies contribute to the home's vibrant social area. The design retains original features such as Nolla mosaics and decorative ceilings. Custom furniture, including a Dedar wool-upholstered bed, fits perfectly, while artworks by Zach Zono and Maddalena Zadra enhance the ambiance. Strikou emphasizes the harmonious blend of old and new.
