Studio la Città in Verona reopens with guided tours for up to 8 visitors
Studio la Città gallery in Verona will reopen on May 19, 2020, after the lockdown, offering guided tours for a maximum of eight people. The gallery had already made a virtual tour of its glass collective exhibition available via video during closure. Now, it schedules 50-minute guided visits by appointment for both the collective show and a solo exhibition by photographer Massimiliano Gatti, which was not installed before the lockdown. Tours run on Fridays (1:30-2:30 PM and 4-6 PM) and Saturdays (11 AM-1 PM and 4-6 PM). Gallery owner Hélène de Franchis will lead the tours, emphasizing conversation over lecture. She notes that viewing works in person differs from screen viewing, citing an anecdote about a collector who needed to see a Fontana work in person before buying. De Franchis also announces a forthcoming auction titled 'Aiutiamo gli artisti' to support artists, inviting collectors, visitors, foundations, curators, and friends to contribute.
