Studio Ghibli's first co-produced television series, 'Ronja, the Robber's Daughter' (Sanzoku no musume Rōnya), is now streaming on Amazon Prime in select European countries as of late January. Directed by Gōro Miyazaki, son of Hayao Miyazaki, the 26-episode anime is based on Astrid Lindgren's 1981 novel. Originally aired in Japan in 2015, the fantasy story set in medieval Scandinavia explores childhood, family, and magic. The English narration is by Gillian Anderson, known for her role as Dana Scully in 'The X-Files' and previously voiced a character in 'Princess Mononoke'.
