Studio Ghibli Museum launches YouTube channel with virtual tours, Totoro drawing tutorial goes viral
The Ghibli Museum in Tokyo, which opened in 2001 and was founded by Hayao Miyazaki, has launched a YouTube channel during the coronavirus pandemic. The channel posts weekly virtual tour videos that explore the museum's exhibits, including a show on how Studio Ghibli films are made, a cinema screening exclusive short films, a replica of the Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro, and a bronze statue of a robot soldier from Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Separately, a tutorial by Toshio Suzuki, producer and former president of Studio Ghibli, on how to draw Totoro has gone viral.
