Street art revitalizes Ascoli Piceno suburb with international artists

artist · 2026-04-27

In the Monticelli area of Ascoli Piceno, the Defloyd cultural association has launched an exciting urban art initiative. They’ve teamed up with Canadian artist Emmanuel Jarus and Turin’s Psiko to transform the exteriors of two local sports venues, engaging the community in the process. Jarus created a mural named 'Atleti in armonia' on the Palestra Comunale wall on via degli Iris, inspired by indoor soccer and volleyball players from the facility. He used blue shades to represent unity and teamwork. On the other hand, Psiko painted a fresco on the soccer field's facade on via dei Narcisi, featuring beekeepers among flowers and bees, connecting it to the beautiful Ascoli Piceno mountains. This project is part of R3 – Monticelli nel Futuro. A promotional video with rapper Claver Gold, crafted by Jacopo Cecchini and curated by Solidea Ruggiero, highlights these murals.
