Street Art and VR Converge in 'IN MY NAME' Exhibition Across Treviso and Monopoli
The international exhibition 'IN MY NAME. Above the show' opens May 9 at the regenerated industrial complex of ex Ceramiche Pagnossin in Treviso, running until June 30, before moving to the Ex Deposito militare Carburanti in Monopoli from July 19 to November 3, 2024. Curated by Martina Cavallarin with Antonio Caruso, the show features 17 artists and over 150 works, including site-specific installations. German artist WON ABC presents a surreal painted cube inhabited by colorful, monstrous characters with a mirrored center. Artist ZED offers 'Second Skin', a wall that reveals a hidden drawing when peeled. Two virtual reality installations by V3RBO and PROEMBRION allow artists to create without physical or bureaucratic constraints, merging urban and digital spaces. The exhibition explores the power of names and tags in street art as declarations of identity and presence.
