Stream Machine Milano: Interactive Digital Art Installation at Malpensa Airport
An interactive digital art installation titled 'Stream Machine Milano' has been installed at Milan's Malpensa Airport, allowing travelers to co-create abstract visions of the city using a joystick controller reminiscent of 1980s video games. The work, created by the studio Streamcolors under artistic director Giacomo Giannella, features a 12-meter-long screen displaying symbolic Milanese landmarks—the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, La Scala, the Navigli, the Castello, transportation, and the skyline—with imagery spanning from 1744 to the present day. Visitors can transform these iconic places and themes into abstract art until March 31. The project is part of the 'NICE TO MEET YOU' program curated by MEET Centro di Cultura Digitale and promoted by SEA Aeroporti.
