Stranger Things 5 teaser trailer released, final season coming in three volumes

other · 2026-04-26

Netflix has released the teaser trailer for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The season will be released in three volumes: Volume 1 (episodes 1-4) on November 27, 2025, Volume 2 (episodes 5-7) on December 26, 2025, and the Finale (a single episode) on January 1, 2026, all available from 2:00 AM Italian time. Set in autumn 1987, the season opens with a wounded and militarized Hawkins, still shaken by the opening of portals. The protagonists, now adolescents grown up amid psychic wars and burdensome absences, are united by a single mission: find and destroy Vecna, the dark figure who vanished after the previous season. While the government hunts Eleven, the anniversary of Will's disappearance approaches, and a new terror takes shape. The tone is darker and more definitive. The series was created by the Duffer Brothers and produced by Upside Down Pictures with 21 Laps Entertainment. The original cast returns: Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, and Linda Hamilton joins in a partially mysterious role. Beyond the series, the Stranger Things universe continues to expand with an animated series, a book collection, a traveling Stranger Things Experience, and the recent stage play Stranger Things: The First Shadow, nominated for Tony Awards, which debuted on Broadway in April 2025.
