Stone Island presents 'No Seasons' immersive installation at Milan Design Week 2026

At Milan Design Week 2026, Stone Island has introduced an interactive installation within a former swimming pool at Capsule Plaza. Collaborating with NM3, a Milanese design studio, the Italian brand has crafted a sensory space that emphasizes material exploration. Displayed are six variants of a single jacket, each made from distinct technical fabrics: Tela Resinata, Nylon Prismatico-TC, Raso Gommato, David-TC, Crinkle Reps NY, and Panno, all in the same dark grey 'piombo' shade to highlight the differences in materials. NM3 also created benches covered in these fabrics, encouraging tactile interaction. The installation features an LED-screen ceiling showcasing artwork by Vittorio Maria Dal Maso of studio 700x100. This project revives the 'No Seasons' concept introduced by founder Massimo Osti in the late 1980s. The updated Friendly Pressure sound system, first revealed in 2025, now includes patinated metal elements and retuned audio. The week-long event, running from April 20-26, 2026, will feature live performances and discussions centered on music and community. Stone Island CEO Robert Triefus noted that the installation allows the brand to communicate through material and process rather than seasonal language. NM3 founders Francesco Zorzi and Nicolò Ornaghi expressed their pride in partnering with a brand they have admired since childhood.
