Stoke Scout multitool designed by Ben Millett addresses camera tripod adjustments

Irish photographer and industrial designer Ben Millett created the Scout multitool for Stoke, focusing on specific functions rather than trying to do everything. The tool can tighten tripod plates and L-plates, turn flathead screws, pry items open, open bottles, cut string and thin rope, tighten bolts, and strip wires. Its 1/4-inch-diameter opening provides better grip for adjusting tripod wrenches that often prove frustrating in the field. Stoke also developed the Conker, a two-part machined-aluminum lanyard adjuster designed to work with the Scout's included lanyard cord without requiring tying or cutting. The Scout early bird package costs €41 (approximately $49), a discount from the anticipated retail price of €59 (nearly $70), with deliveries starting in June. While not essential, the tool is described as well-made, intelligently designed, and convenient for smoothing out friction photographers experience outdoors. The initial inspiration came from Millett's annoyance at lacking suitable tools for camera bracket adjustments.
