STO.M.P Designs Valley House in Western Valley, India
Indian architecture firm STO.M.P, led by principal architect Vignesh Sekar with design team member Abishek Raj, has completed a residential project titled 'Casa en el Valle Occidental' (House in the Western Valley). The 10,000 square-foot house is located in a valley setting and was curated by Miwa Negoro. The design concept draws from the valley metaphor, borrowing the language of a busy street profile and extending the dwelling along a corner plot to frame the valley and its lake. The house comprises three linear bays, vertically displaced and connected by corridors, which open the floor plan to filtered western light and cross ventilation, allowing the residence to reflect the surrounding landscape through texture and materiality. The project, completed in 2025, involved structural engineering by Archetype, MEP engineering by Aperture, and additional consulting by Studio Vinton. Photographs were taken by Studio f/8 - Mr. Dinesh. Suppliers for the project include Hansgrohe, Alankaram, and Tostem. The project is categorized under 'Casas' (Houses) and was featured on ArchDaily.
