Sting and Bob Geldof Visit Florence's Galleria dell'Accademia
Musicians Sting and Bob Geldof visited the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence to view conservation work on Michelangelo's "Prigioni" (Slaves). The restorations were funded by Friends of Florence through a donation from the Sager Family Foundation, dedicated to Sting and his wife Trudie Styler for their music and social commitment, to Simonetta Brandolini d'Adda for her cultural work, and to the memory of Bob Geldof's daughter Peaches Geldof.
