Stiftung Rosenhang Secures Museum's Future with €50 Million Endowment

The Rosenhang Museum, located in Weilburg an der Lahn, Germany, has been operating since 2017 without any public funding and is now embarking on a new journey with the creation of the Stiftung Rosenhang foundation. Established by Antje Helbig and Joachim Legner, the foundation boasts a €50 million endowment comprised of art, real estate, cash, and other assets to guarantee the museum's future viability. Situated in the former August Helbig brewery, the museum spans 4,300 square meters over four floors, displaying contemporary works by notable artists like Banksy, Gerhard Richter, and Elvira Bach. Additionally, the foundation promotes cultural initiatives in Weilburg, such as the Kreismusikschule Oberlahn and the Stiftung Evangelisch in Weilburg, while offering special exhibitions, concerts, and the €60,000 'Löwe von Weilburg' art prize.
