Stephanie Rosenthal Curates 20th Biennale de Sydney

Stephanie Rosenthal, on leave from her role as chief curator at the Hayward Gallery in London, is curating the 2016 Biennale de Sydney. Titled "The Future is Already Here – It's Just not Evenly Distributed," the 20th edition emphasizes works with strong political and social impact. The biennale runs from March 18 to June 5, 2016, across multiple venues including the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Art Gallery of New South Wales, and Carriageworks. Rosenthal's curatorial approach focuses on art that addresses urgent contemporary issues such as climate change, inequality, and technology. The exhibition features over 90 artists from more than 30 countries, with many works commissioned specifically for the event.
