Stéphane Pencréac'h: Pain Is Love and Passion Exhibitions in 2010
Stéphane Pencréac'h, born in Paris in 1970, has a packed agenda in early 2010. His exhibition titled 'Pain Is Love' is on display at Galerie Anne de Villepoix in Paris from January 16 to February 20. Following that, he will showcase 'Passion' at Carré Sainte-Anne in Montpellier from March 25 to May 2, while also featuring at Galerie Hambursin-Boisanté from March 24 to April 30. Additionally, he was tasked by Régis Bocquel to transform a WWII bunker in Fécamp, which was inaugurated on April 3. In a February 2010 interview with Richard Leydier, he expresses a hopeful view of human nature through art but conveys a bleak outlook on the present, likening it to the 1930s and critiquing French attitudes toward painting.
