Stefano Perrone: From Art Director to Painter of Vectors and Absence

Born in 1985, Stefano Perrone is a painter based in Monza, Italy. He graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from Politecnico di Milano in 2008 and initially worked as an art director for Saatchi & Saatchi and McCann Erickson before dedicating himself to painting in 2015. In July 2019, he participated in a residency at L21 gallery in Mallorca. His solo exhibitions feature 'In conversation with Przemek Pyszczek' (2020), 'Maschere in Villa' (2018), 'Beneath and Beyond' (2017), 'VOID' (2017), and 'Vertigo' (2016), while group exhibitions include 'Turn on the bright lights' (2020) and 'Transatlantico' (2020). Perrone’s artwork, noted for its vectorial lines, delves into themes of movement and absence, drawing inspiration from Renaissance artists. His piece 'Camice su camicia' (2020) foreshadowed the significance of medical coats during the COVID-19 pandemic.
