Stefano Graziani's 'Nature Morte' at Galleria Mazzoli, Modena
Galleria Mazzoli in Modena presents 'Nature Morte', a solo exhibition by Stefano Graziani (b. 1971), an artist and scholar. The show runs until October 8, 2016. Graziani's photography engages with still life, architecture, Roman Baroque, prehistoric menhirs, and Adolf Loos's rationalism. Featured are interior details of Villa Khuner in Kreuzberg, a late significant project by Loos from 1930. The exhibition juxtaposes Loos's 'Ornament and Crime' with Baroque architecture, exploring the dialectic between order and chaos, also including images of fireworks. Graziani also directed the installation and a volume with texts by poet Nanni Cagnone and Pier Paolo Tamburelli. Graziani has previously shown at Festival della Fotografia Europea in Reggio Emilia and Fondazione Fotografia di Modena.
