institutional · 2026-05-04

In February, the Museo Permanente del Design Italiano will open its doors, as announced by Stefano Boeri, the newly appointed president of Triennale Milano. This museum will showcase 1,600 items from its collection, featuring notable works by Giovanni Sacchi and Alessandro Mendini. Joseph Grima will curate the exhibition, which will emphasize a straightforward and adaptable design. Situated in the lower curve of the Palazzo dell'Arte, the museum's development will be guided by a scientific board that includes Paola Antonelli and Mario Bellini, with support from Federlegno. The 22nd Triennale is set to commence in March, highlighting participants from Sri Lanka and Cameroon, along with upcoming exhibitions on Enzo Mari, Carlo Aymonino, and Bjarke Ingels in 2020.
