Stefania Margiacchi on Société Interludio's Vision and Upcoming Projects

Stefania Margiacchi (Siena, 1990) discusses her Turin gallery Société Interludio, co-curated with Allegra Fantini. The gallery opened on October 25, 2018, with a group show featuring Giulio Saverio Rossi, Paolo Inverni, and Sophie Ko. Margiacchi, a former fashion buyer, emphasizes the parallel influences of fashion and art on her work. The current exhibition "Desiderio: Preludio" is a group show exploring desire, featuring artists such as Agathe Rosa, Gianni Caravaggio, Davide Mancini Zanchi, and Francesco Carone. The project began during the pandemic and involves multiple galleries. Margiacchi values intellectual honesty in artists over aesthetic judgments. Société Interludio is expanding into sculpture and installation, with a second space in a former 20th-century sawmill in Cambiano, near Turin, set to open before Artissima 2023. At Artissima, the gallery will present a stand themed "take care" with works by five artists. Upcoming projects include monographic catalogues for Sebastiano Impellizzeri and Enrico Tealdi (in collaboration with Francesca Antonini of Rome), and a special project on artist multiples to attract a broader audience.
