Stefania Gaudiosi Launches 'L’arte è un delfino' Video Interview Series on Artribune

Stefania Gaudiosi, an architect and artist, has launched a new video interview series titled 'L’arte è un delfino' on Artribune. The project explores emerging themes in contemporary art and culture through conversations with artists, writers, poets, philosophers, musicians, architects, publishers, gallerists, scientists, ethologists, and botanists. The title originates from a child named Niko who, during an art workshop in a primary school, defined art as 'a dolphin.' Gaudiosi views the dolphin as a guiding spirit that helps transcend human-centric perspectives. The interviews are conducted in person to capture performative aspects such as gestures, voice, and environment, which she believes are lost in digital communication. Recurring questions include 'What is art?', 'What is poetry?', and the interviewee's relationship with other species. A photographic corollary titled 'Ma che cos’hanno in testa gli artisti?' invites artists to wear something on their heads as a visual game for children. Gaudiosi aims to build an online archive of questions and answers on vital themes of contemporary culture, emphasizing the importance of 'why' over 'what, where, how, when.' She describes the project as a form of 'ark' where animals will save us. The series is published on Artribune's television channel and Gaudiosi's YouTube channel.
