Stedelijk Museum Opens Controversial Borgmann Donation Show
The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam has launched a significant exhibition titled 'Jump into the Future – Art from the ’90s and 2000s: The Borgmann Donation.' This extensive display encompasses 600 works from collector Thomas Borgmann and occupies the museum's first floor, with a total area of 2,540 square meters across thirty galleries. The exhibit includes a mix of donations, acquisitions, and long-term loans. Following financial scrutiny and a leadership change, the interim chief, Jan Willem Sieburgh, revealed plans to incorporate key works into the museum's collection over the next three years.
