Stanaćev Granados Designs 2021 Vacation Home in Matanzas for German Retirees
Architects Manu Granados and Nataša Stanaćev of Stanaćev Granados completed Casa Abuelos in 2021. The 105-square-meter house in Matanzas was commissioned by a retired German couple who wanted a residence for extended annual visits near their grandchildren. The clients requested a cost-effective, light-filled home that would also function as a vacation rental when they were not in residence. The project team included landscape architects Landscapers Chile and general contractor Lignatec. Photographer Marcos Zegers documented the completed structure. Valentina Díaz served as curator for the project presentation. The design prioritizes comfort and family life at a slower pace.
