Stämpfli Foundation Preview at Edifici Miramar, Sitges
Between March 20 and May 23, 2010, Edifici Miramar in Sitges, Spain, held a preview for the upcoming Fundacio Stämpfli. Swiss artist Peter Stämpfli and his wife, long-time residents of Sitges, displayed a selection from the future collection, which will officially open in winter 2010. This exhibition featured pieces from over 60 artists, including Arroyo, Bertini, and Buraglio, among others. Curated by Serge Lemoine, the collection was formed through artist exchanges and donations, reflecting a collaborative spirit from a time before market pressures. The city of Sitges will legally own the foundation, which aims to become a prominent art hub in northern Spain.
