St. Regis Rome Launches Artist-Designed Glass Collection at LUMEN Bar

other · 2026-05-04

The St. Regis Rome has partnered with Galleria Continua to integrate contemporary art into its spaces, starting with a site-specific installation by Loris Cecchini in December 2018. On February 14, 2019, the hotel inaugurates its renovated bar, LUMEN Cocktails & Cuisine, with a limited-edition collection of artist-designed ceramic glasses titled "From eyes to mouth," curated by Le Dictateur. The collection features works by Federico Pepe (Mini Ming) and Nico Vascellari (Pozzanghere), each handmade in 100 pieces exclusively for the bar. Pepe's glasses draw from Chinese Ming porcelain with his signature "Eyes in Chains" and "Spine" patterns, while Vascellari's evoke earthy, ancestral cavities inspired by Rome's mythical origins. The opening event includes a DJ set by Ninos du Brasil. The collaboration aims to position the historic hotel as a destination for art lovers, blending ancient and contemporary art with high-end hospitality.
