SSdH's Studley Grounds Pavilion Opens in Wurundjeri Country
SSdH has completed the Studley Grounds pavilion, a 115 m² flexible space in Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country, Australia, in 2022. Curated by Miwa Negoro and built by Wilderness Build Co, the project team includes Todd de Hoog, Jean-Marie Spencer, and Harrison Smart. The non-prescriptive pavilion offers adaptable layouts for the adjacent café to host events and for public use, blurring the line between private and public space. Its ambiguity fosters generosity toward the surrounding national parkland, allowing appropriation by visitors.
