Spotify to Label AI Persona Profiles and Exclude Them from Recommendations
On Tuesday, Spotify revealed plans to introduce 'AI Persona' labels for artists generated by artificial intelligence, with their music being omitted from both editorial and algorithmic recommendations. Beginning in mid-September, users will notice 'AI Persona' badges on the profiles of these AI artists. The platform will assess profiles, focusing on those meeting certain audience criteria. These badges will be displayed on profile banners, in the About sections, within Search, and alongside track listings.
