Sportmax's Resort 2027 collection, showcased for the upcoming season, takes its conceptual cues from architecture, but diverges from the initially proposed futuristic styles reminiscent of Zaha Hadid. The design team instead pursued a more practical approach, emphasizing lightness in tailoring and airy volumes. By softening the brand's hallmark sharp constructions with delicate layers of nylon and silk organza, jackets and dusters lose their bulk. Geometry plays a crucial role, with dresses crafted from square and rectangular panels that morph into flowing shapes. Sheer inserts, pleats, and overlapping elements create a dynamic balance of concealment and exposure. Highlighted pieces include a lightweight translucent suit and a technical bomber with sheer cargo pants. Fringing decorates knitwear and is more pronounced on bustiers and gilets, adding movement.
