SPIN: New union for live performance cultural enterprises launched in Italy

institutional · 2026-04-27

SPIN (Associazione Nazionale d'innovazione per le realtà medio piccole polivalenti dello spettacolo dal vivo) was founded amidst Italy's health, economic, and social turmoil to advocate for small and medium-sized live performance businesses. Its mission is to support cultural associations, social cooperatives, foundations, and organizations that host shows and events. With seven regional offices across Italy, SPIN took part in a virtual press conference organized by AGIS (Associazione Generale Italiana dello Spettacolo), where they presented the document "Lo spettacolo in Italia nella fase 2" to the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, detailing strategies for resuming activities. President Valentina Gallo highlighted the importance of having direct government representation and recognizing the cultural enterprise status for all involved entities.
