Spike Jonze writes and directs Ghosts video for Rone and (La)Horde

Spike Jonze wrote the script for Ghosts, a new video directed by contemporary dance group (La)Horde to accompany the single by electronic music producer Rone. The short film features dancers from Ballet National de Marseille and is set at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Marseille. The narrative follows a young girl who appears to be a ghost trapped in a lonely place despite its many visitors, eventually discovering others like her and participating in a choreographed collective ritual leading to catharsis. The multidisciplinary project also involves fashion designer Léopold Duchemin and support from Balenciaga. Ghosts explores themes of incommunicability, indifference, and fears that prevent connection, blending reality and dream through dance.
