Sperone Westwater Gallery Archives Reveal Exhibition History and New York Art Scene

Sperone Westwater Gallery has been the site of various exhibitions, including "Motherboard," which runs until April 19. Previously, it showcased Artemisia Gentileschi in a display of old master Italian paintings. Located at 415 West 13 Street in New York City, the gallery operated from November 7 to December 19, 2009. The Lower East Side welcomed three new galleries, among them Norman Foster's impressive Sperone Westwater. Guests at David Cohen's event included Ariella Budick, Noah Dillon, and Laila Pedro, featuring works from the artist's last three years. Other notable exhibitions included Suzan Frecon at David Zwirner and Guillermo Kuitca at Sperone Westwater. Additionally, some artists opted for independent single-evening exhibitions in their studios, accompanied by manifestos.
