Spazio Sei in Pescara Reopens as Contemporary Art Space with Giorgia Mascitti Show
Spazio Sei, founded in 2020 in Pescara by Isa De Luca, has transitioned from a photography studio into a dedicated contemporary art exhibition space. Originally conceived as a shared studio and project space by a group of photographers, the venue opened just before the COVID-19 lockdown and was forced to close. De Luca eventually became the sole manager, steering the space toward contemporary art exhibitions. Currently, it hosts 'Spremuta d'incubo', a solo show by artist Giorgia Mascitti (born 1995 in San Benedetto del Tronto), curated by Marcella Russo with critical text by Maria Letizia Paiato. The exhibition features nine large vertical graphite drawings arranged scenographically, depicting faceless characters, strange animals, anthropomorphic entities, and monsters reminiscent of medieval bestiaries, set in dystopian, apocalyptic urban and natural landscapes. De Luca aims to continue focusing on emerging local artists while also planning future photography exhibitions. The space is located in Pescara, a city highlighted in Artribune Travel's upcoming tour.
